Case Study – Regather Works
Regather trading co operative works as a social centre in the Sharrow neighbourhood of Sheffield. It offers a range of community facilities including a catering kitchen and studio space. The building is a grade II listed works building with a long history associated with the metal and tool trades of Sheffield.
Installing insulation has been an essential part of the refurbishment process. We have used Inno-Therm® to insulate basement and first floor ceiling spaces.
As soon as we heard about the product we were keen to give it a go – we wanted a product that reflected our eco-friendly ethos, plus we really like having insulation that is made from recycled blue jeans!
The install was very easy because we were able to use the friction fit technique, plus the insulation is itch free and comfortable to handle. As well as offering great heat insulation it also has really good acoustic properties too – which is useful for us because the room above is often used for dance classes and music performance.
We strongly recommend natural fibre recyled cotton insulation to anyone looking for an eco insulation that is easy to fit and performs to the highest standard – and an interesting story to tell too!
