About Recovery Insulation Ltd.

Recovery Insulation Ltd. (RI) is a social enterprise/for profit share capitol company established in 2002 by Schools & Homes Energy Education Project/Solar-Active with support from the Sheffield Community Enterprise Development Unit (SCEDU). We have had financial support from Business Link South Yorkshire High Growth Start-up, Enventure Landfill Tax Credit Scheme/Parkwood Environmental Fund, UK KTA/TSB grants and others.

As a social enterprise, we donate a proportion of our sales income to the education charity Schools & Homes Energy Education Project to conduct renewable energy and energy efficiency activities in educational establishments, youth groups and general public. For instance, Recovery Insulation has donated time, secured funding and provided financial support in the development of an education resource, the HOT HOUSE with the School of Education, Sheffield Hallam University and with a video funded by the Social Enterprise Exchange program which supports social enterprise in Sheffield City Region via a community-based consortium in collaboration with Sheffield City Region Growth Hub and funded by European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020.

In April 2007, Inno-Therm® was featured in BBC series ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green’ and BBC / DIY/SOS in November 2010. It was selected in 2014 by Kevin McCloud as one of his 10 eco-innovation green heroes – exhibited at Grand Designs Live 3rd-11th May 2014. In February 2015 RI was shortlisted for the M&S/Eco Big Innovation Pitch Award and was provided a exhibition stand at Eco Build.

Supplier

In July 2013, the manufacturing of Inno-Therm® was transferred to Le Relais and sold in agreement under the Inno-Therm® brand as Inno-Therm®/Métisse®. Due to Brexit causing increased shipping costs and delays from France, from October 2021, Inno-Therm® will also be supplied through a supplier based in UK and be sold in agreement under the Inno-Therm® brand as Inno-Therm®/Pavatextil. Inno-Therm®/Métisse® & Inno-Therm®/Pavatextil are the same insulation.
